HERSTORY: HOW WE TELL AND UNDERSTAND OUR STORIES WITHIN GOD’S STORY.
Women’s Day is an annual event that explores topics important in the lives of Christian women.
From our 2019 keynote speaker, Rev. Jodi Houge: Every single one of us with a pulse has a story. Stories remind us that we are human and that we belong to one another. If we invite people to tell the truth about their own lived experiences, we create a thin, holy space that leads to transformation. Throughout the morning, Jodi will share stories from her own life, the Gospel, and from the church that she pastors. She will also invite you to do the same with gentle invitation and encouragement. You will leave feeling less isolated and more connected to both yourself and others around you.
The afternoon will give participants an opportunity to engage with different ways to explore their own stories through a choice of journaling, poetry, nature, art, and storytelling.
