April 2017 Sunday, April 2 No Sunday School due to Spring Break Sunday, April 9 – Palm Sunday Intergenerational Event Please join the Sunday School classes on Sunday, April 9, from 9:15-10:15, for an event celebrating Palm Sunday. We plan to decorate locks for the “Locks of Compassion” project sponsored by the Catholic Charities Refugee Resettlement Program here in Rochester. With a $10 donation, we will give you a lock which you will decorate with words/pictures representing love, hope, and compassion. The locks will then be featured prominently on the Locks of Compassion Display in our community. The hope is that this display will send a message of welcome to refugee children and their families. This event will take place in lieu of Sunday School. Thursday, April 13 – Maundy Thursday 2nd graders will have their First Communion Sunday, April 16 – Easter Sunday Easter Sunday Activities (No Sunday School) Join us in the Fellowship Hall at 9:15am for breakfast put on by Confirmation and High School students. Donations will be used for the ELCA Youth National Gathering in Houston in the summer of 2018. Children 0-5th grade should bring their Easter baskets for an Easter egg hunt at 10:00am. Sunday, April 23 Adult Education and Sunday School resumes May Sunday, May 14 2nd Graders will lead the congregation in The Lord’s Prayer during 10:30am service 3rd/4th Graders will lead the congregation in The Apostle’s Creed during 10:30am service Sunday, May 21 We encourage all Sunday School Teachers to join us for an appreciation brunch in Fellowship Hall at 9:15am. 2015 Baby Shower for Mary: A Sunday School Intergenerational Event

The Sunday school students invite all members to an event celebrating the first Sunday of Advent on November 29, 2015, from 9:15-10:15am. We will throw a baby shower for Mary and baby Jesus. We are asking attendees to donate new or gently used baby items that we will donate to the Women’s Shelter. We ask that you bring the items unwrapped, so that the kids and adults can have fun wrapping and decorating the packages before we present them to Mary. The following are some items the Women’s Shelter is in need of: diapers (sizes 4,5, and 6) pull ups (all sizes) wipes sippy cups bottles bottle brushes baby powder shampoo lotion thermometers Infant and toddler toys, like duplos.
